11 January 2008 – Smart ID participates in NI Days 2008
Smart ID participates in the National Instrument Days 2008 held at St. Regis Hotel in Singapore. Smart ID showcases its latest UHF RFID Reader SR113 and a slew of other compatible UHF Reader solutions targeted for desktop programming, handheld and printer applications.
Smart ID welcomes the introduction by National Instruments, the first in market RFID Reader Tester, NI-VISN-100. This instruments help Smart ID in conformance testing to standard protocol stacks such as the ISO18000-6C.

05 November 2007 – Smart ID introduces new UHF RFID
Reader (SR113)
Following the release of its first version UHF RFID Reader SR112 in March 2006, Smart ID had successfully built up a portfolio of customers across various market verticals.
Many effective feedback and experiences were gathered
from our earlier deployments and Smart ID is proud to introduce its next
generation UHF RFID Reader, the SR113.
The SR113 is a completely new UHF RFID Reader designed from ground up using
advance DSP architecture. The SR113 offers Listen Before Talk (LBT) and
Dense Reader Mode (DRM) features that allows it to be used anywhere in the
world. The enhanced processing speed and multiple interface options such as ethernet connectivity ensures ease of use for different deployment
platforms. Multiple antenna option of up to 4 external antenna is possible
to provide for better RF field coverage.

IME and Smart ID to jointly develop EPC Gen2 RFID Reader Chip
IME has entered into a research collaboration to develop low-cost and high
quality UHF Reader chip for hand-held applications with Smart ID, a spin-off
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) solution company from A*Star.
The Reader chip will be functional from 860-960 Mhz
band and capable of Dense Reader Mode (DRM) operation. This Reader chip will
integrate many components typically found in a reader, hence miniaturizing
the RFID reader and reducing the end solution cost.

module, SH112. The SH112 is targeted for embedding applications such a
portable RFID printer, inlay assembly machines or label converters. The
small form factor and customizable firmware ensure seamless integration into

UHF RFID Reader
After close to a year of R&D efforts, Smart ID releases
its first 4-port UHF RFID Reader, SR112. The SR112 is programmable to
operate within the 860-960 Mhz range to cater for the authorized operational
frequency band of different countries/regions. The SR112 is simple to use
and is firmware upgradeable on the field. The 4-port Reader is also
available in module form SM112, to facilitate easy mounting and integration
into other systems.

15 July 2005 – Smart ID moves to new premises
Smart ID has just moved to its new premises at Techplace I in Ang Mo Kio, this move is in line with its objective to expand and accelerate its Research and Development activities in the area of Ultra High Frequency RFID.
The new facility is well equipped for R&D activities
and provides sufficient space for the impending expansion of Smart ID in the
next couple years.
